Virginia’s Title XXI Health Insurance Flexibility and Accountability (HIFA) Demonstration expands Title XXI coverage, through a program known as FAMIS MOMS, to uninsured pregnant women who are not eligible for Medicaid and have family income up to 200% of the federal poverty level (FPL) and uses Title XXI funds to create a health insurance premium assistance program known as FAMIS Select.
Virginia’s current Title XXI HIFA Demonstration expires June 29, 2013. Governor McDonnell has submitted an application to extend the demonstration.
