A Service of the Commonwealth of Virginia
We are challenging teens all across Virginia to tap into their creativity and create a FAMIS Video or Poster that will help spread the word about the FAMIS program. This contest is open to all teens (13 - 18 years old) in Virginia. You can enter individually or as a group.
Videos must be 30 seconds or less in length and should positively promote the benefits of the FAMIS program for teens. All entries need to be submitted by January 31, 2012. Rules for submission will be provided in the weeks to come, but if you are interested in participating in the contest and would like more information please email FAMIS@dmas.virginia.gov.
The top three video entries will be chosen by the FAMIS team and posted on this website for a public vote. The winning submission will receive prizes as well as being featured on the FAMIS.org website and the FAMIS Facebook page.
Poster designs should positively promote the FAMIS program and be targeted to a teen audience. Poster submissions should be no larger than 11 in x 17 in and must be submitted in PDF format.
Please send all poster submissions to FAMIS@dmas.virginia.gov no later than January 31, 2012. If you have any issues with submitting your entry, please contact Shelagh Greenwood at Shelagh.greenwood@dmas.virginia.gov.
The winning poster design will be selected by the FAMIS team. The designer of the winning poster will receive a prize and the design will be professionally printed and made available to schools across the state for display.
