The key to staying healthy is regular checkups. It is not enough to take your child to the doctor
when your child is sick. Children should see their doctor on a regular basis. Well-baby checkups,
well-child checkups, shots, dental checkups, and even prenatal care can catch small health
problems early. The doctor or dentist can then fix or treat these problems, before they get bigger.
Experience shows that pregnant women who have regular prenatal care have healthier babies.
Children who get regular health care do better in school.
